What do you want to remember before you forget?

Family portrait sessions are the perfect way to capture the beautiful bonds between those you love most. Family portrait packages options are a 30 and 60 minutes of shooting time in a local, outdoor setting of your choice. Family sessions take place in the hour before sunset, or “golden hour”, to provide for the most flattering lighting. These sessions provide clients with a varied gallery of both posed and candid shots.

Image release is included with the cost of this package and there is no obligation to purchase prints from Jenny Puranen Photography, ever. However, when it comes time to make prints I am here to help in the process and to offer advice should you need it!

Additional Fees: $75 for Travel to areas outside a 15 mile radius of my studio of travel to and from the location of choice. Parties over six people- $50 increase in total package cost for every additional four people

What is Lifestyle photography?: It is a form of photography that is unlike your normal portrait session. In a portrait session everyone would be facing the camera and smiling in a traditional pose.

Lifestyle photography goes in the other direction. Lifestyle photography is just what it sounds like... capturing life happening with the ones you love. It is sometimes posed but in most of the photographs it will appear that your photographer isn't even there. Your photographer is just a fly on the wall capturing fleeting moments that happen between you and your loved ones.

It may be a smile, a laugh, a hug, expression, a funny joke or even a tear. The purpose of these photos is to look back on these and remember the connection you had with your significant other, children and sometimes even a pet.

Love happens everyday in the smallest touch and twinkle in the eye. It is this that I gift you in my photographs
What Do We Wear?: Coordinating clothing for family members is an important part of making your images cohesive and beautiful. Many families find it helpful to choose two or three colors that compliment one other, then use accessories and clothing items that tie into that color scheme. Not sure which colors to choose? If you plan to hang images from your shoot in your home then choose colors to compliment your decor

It is always suggested that clients avoid clothing with large logos, writing, neon colors or other pictures as they can be distracting in the portraits or can cause color casting.

Arrive a few minutes early to ensure that you will have the full shooting time available to you. The sunset waits for no one!
It is best to get children dressed at the shooting location just before their session begins to avoid last-minute spills or other messes before your session.

It is undirected & unposed—think National Geographic vs. reality TV— this means you get photos that are organic, honest, and tell your real story, the real deal, with all the feels. You don’t have to go buy new clothes or put up pretend decorations (not reality TV, remember?) and bribe your children to smile. This is a different kind of photo session, one in which every image you’ll see in your gallery is not only a moment in time but a piece of the story that tells how you lived and loved today. Your very own visual time capsule of a slice of life: sibling rivalries, sports practice, dance classes, toddler tantrums, heart-bursting hugs.
