Hi! If you are new to my blog I am a Brevard County, Satellite Beach and Cocoa Beach, Florida Lifestyle Photographer. I also travel for photo work and head back to Los Angeles, California once a month. but on to why we are here! Lets talk Editing!!!! We all know DSLR cameras are sold pretty much everywhere. Just look around at your next school event every mom has one! When this first became the norm I quickly saw a dip in pricing for professional photography. This has been improving though and I will say people quickly realized that these cameras don't always give you the most beautiful shot right away.

This is when programs such as lightroom and Photoshop quickly become your best friend. The difference in someone with a DSLR from Target and a professional is the training. A lot of people just don't have the patience to attend college and spend thousands on training to learn how to properly use these programs. Your professional photographer lives for this! If they are anything like me, they are continually yearning to learn. I am never done with the education process. Even after college I have spent (you don't even wanna know kinda money) on classes, workshops and training. I try to go once a year to learn more! Be at the top of my game and competitive in my market.

So if you have ever asked to see the photo straight away off the back of my camera and you see me cringe this is why. I haven't had the time to add the finesse and style that make me well me! Every photographer has a certain style in mood, colors and lighting. Most of this is applied afterwards in post processing.

Check out some before and afters below. Now the only reason I have this family for this is because they were my last session I shot and the only original photos I still have. They also had 3 kids under 5 which is a great example of the famous head swap! See if you can find what I changed!!
