Have you had a chance to check out Kinna Blow dry bar yet? I know we have all seen it while shopping at the avenues in Viera. It is located on the corner next to Belk.
I had a chance to sit down with owner Kim Mooty (pictured below) and Makeup/styling Professional Stella (also pictured below) to find out more about the salon and gathered some useful tips.
Kinna Blow dry bar has been opened for 3 years now and caters to clients from ages 3 to 90! They have a variety of services from wash and blow dry to extensions to professional makeup application and lashes.
They are typically busiest on the weekends and prom season is slammed. They recommend making your appointment at least a week in advance. Some other tips for your upcoming appointment include:
- Feel free to bring in photos with you of styles you like (make a pintrest board)
- Always pick something similar to the hair style you have and flatters your face
- wash your hair the day before not the day of
- do not apply heavy products after you wash it
- do not flat iron or curl your hair before your appointment
- if having makeup done do not apply makeup before. (clean mosturized face)
I also had a chance to discuss some tips on how to keep hair healthy in between appointments. Did you know Florida has an excess of chlorine in the water? This can be harsh and drying on your hair. Try not to wash your hair so often! Use dry shampoo and do not wash it more than twice a week.
If you are going swimming in the pool rinse it with cool clean water before hand. Have you heard of sunscreen for your hair? They sell this at Kinna Blow Dry Bar and it helps protect your hair in the heat and harsh Florida Sun.
